Hi, welcome to my blog! I am so glad that you are here! My name is Liz, and I am working on becoming certified in interior decorating. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Nick, and we have two daughters, Camille (4 yo) and Maddie (2 yo). In 2021, while I was pregnant with Maddie, our house was destroyed by Hurricane Ida. I ended up having Maddie while we were evacuated, and it was all around a tough time. I had created a home that we loved, and it was all taken away at the drop of a hat. On the plus side, because we had to rebuild our house, we decided to invest in making renovations that would make our house more modern and more functional for our family. Now, we have finally moved back home and are slowly decorating and organizing. Below are some pictures of our house prior to Hurricane Ida.

Camille’s room was probably my favorite room in our house!
During the renovation process, there were SO MANY decisions that had to be made…paint colors, countertops, cabinets, flooring, light fixtures, and the list goes on. I learned so much in the process and will share why we made certain choices and resources that helped us along the way. I can’t wait to show you!
I love beautiful and timeless design, but with two toddlers and two dogs, functionality is also super important to us. You can still have a beautiful home that also looks like it is lived in. Follow along as we get settled in and decorate our newly renovated home, as well as for affordable and functional finds.
XOXO,
Liz
